Plastering
The finish makes the difference.
From new plasterboard to a smooth skim, tell us about the walls and ceilings you want to refresh. We can discuss preparation, drying time and a finish ready for decorating.

Smooth walls. Clean edges. A fresh start.
Whether you are refreshing a room or finishing a new media wall, the surface underneath makes a difference to the final look. We can discuss skimming, plasterboard, local repairs and making good around agreed building or electrical work.
Show us the full wall as well as any problem areas. Existing coatings, cracks, loose sections and the condition of the background help us understand what preparation may be needed.
Attention to the surface.
The details
Preparation is part of the finish.
Good proportions need tidy returns, corners and junctions. Tell us about the ceiling, chimney breast, alcoves, skirting and any joinery so the plastering can be planned around the whole room.
We will discuss which surfaces are included, what needs removing or protecting, and how the work fits with other trades. Any underlying moisture or building issues need to be understood before the finishing work is agreed.
A fresh canvas for your room.
The details
Plan the next step, too.
Allow time between plastering and decorating. The suitable drying period depends on the work, materials and room conditions; we will discuss this as part of your project rather than promise a fixed date from a photo.
For an enquiry, include approximate wall widths and ceiling height, a few clear pictures and whether you need one area or the whole room finished. Let us know if a decorator is already booked.
Useful to know
Your questions, answered.
Can you plaster around a new media wall?
Yes, tell us about the media wall layout and the surrounding surfaces. We can discuss the face, returns and adjoining walls as part of the same agreed scope.
Can you repair just part of a wall?
Send a close-up and a photo of the whole wall. The best approach depends on the damage and the existing surface, so a visit may be needed to confirm the preparation and finish.
Is decorating included?
Plastering and decorating are separate stages. Tell us which finish you need and we will make clear what is included in your quote and what will be left ready for the next trade.
